Sažetak

Uz verbalnu komunikaciju svjesno ili nesvjesno komuniciramo i neverbalnim govorom. Neverbalna komunikacija moćno je oružje u pregovorima, prodaji, edukaciji, dio je umjetnosti. Neverbalnom komunikacijom smatramo sve vrste govora tijela gdje ne koristimo izgovorene riječi. Pod time podrazumijevamo komunikacijsku okolinu (fi - zičku i spacijalnu), fi zičke značajke osoba te kretnje i položaj tijela. Neverbalnoj komunikaciji također pridodajemo i specifi čne zvukove poput smijanja, zijevanja, stenjanja. Neverbalnom komunikacijom možemo ponoviti, istaknuti, ublažiti, dopuniti ili zamijeniti verbalno ponašanje. Neverbalni govor može ne pratiti, odnosno proturječiti verbalnom i tada može biti posljedica nesvjesnih reakcija tijela, pokušaja nepriznavanja istine, neuspjelog laganja, iskazivanja ironije. Svaka osoba ima različita znanja, vještine i sposobnosti pa se razlikujemo i u primanju i slanju neverbalnih znakova. Neki bolje čitaju neverbalne znakove, drugi ih bolje šalju, neki te sposobnosti mogu koristiti u podjednakoj mjeri, više ili manje uspješno. Za ovladavanje sposobnostima svjesnog primanja i slanja neverbalnih znakova potrebno je dulje vrijeme, ovisi i o znanju, vještini, uvježbanosti, iskustvu, samopouzdanju i motivaciji.

Abstract

Apart from communicating verbally we also communicate, knowingly or unconsciously, through non-verbal speaking. Non-verbal communication is a powerful tool in negotiations, sale, education, and it forms a part of art. Non-verbal communication includes all types of body language were words are not used. Th at refers to communication surroundings (physical and spatial), physical characteristics of a person, body movements and posture. Non-verbal communication also includes specifi c sounds such as laughter, yawning and moaning. Th rough non-verbal communication we can repeat, accentuate, soften, complete or replace verbal behaviour. Non-verbal communication does not have to correspond with verbal communication; that is it can be in contradiction to it. In that case it can be a result of unconscious body reactions, an attempt to deny truth, an unsuccessful lie or a demonstration of irony. Due to diff erent knowledge, skills and ability we receive and send non-verbal signs diff erently. Some people are better at reading, others are better at sending non-verbal signs, while some are equally good at both, more or less successfully. Mastering the ability to receive and send non-verbal signs consciously take longer and it depends on knowledge, skill, practice, experience, self-confi dence and motivation.
