Abstract

Development of design, visual communications and multimedia semantic environments require from deifferent professions innovative and creative protocols and procedures. Changes of communication technologies are so intense that human experience is progressing faster than we can innovate curriculums, syllabus and are able to research wider social implications of technological development. Cognitive and behavioral concept of the modern world is expressed in increasing formation of new business models that require new kinds of knowledge and skills. Recognizing the context School of Design at Faculty of Architecture, University of Zagreb started the interdisciplinary university elective course Creative Laboratory in the academic year 2014/15. The course is theoretically based on the field of scientific and artistic expertise that are related to the design of various spheres of human experience and is didactically based on collaborative project work that is interdisciplinary and multimedia. In two academic year the course produced twelve projects that are based on the potential of experience exchange between Arts and Sciences, and are socially, technologically, aestheticlly grounded.
