REALISTIČNO 3D MODELIRANJE LJUDSKE KOSE

Sažetak

Trodimenzionalni model je osnovna građevna jedinica 3D računalne grafike i matematička reprezentacija trodimenzionalnog objekta u 3D programskom okruženju. Klasičan način modeliranja sastoji se od utiskivanja, razdvajanja, proširivanja i spajanja poligona. Pojavom 3D modeliranja pod nazivom „digitalno kiparstvo“ omogućen je umjetnički način modeliranja, odnosno stvaranje digitalnih objekata na više intuitivan način. To je ustvari rad s digitalnom glinom. U ovom radu razmatraju se načini modeliranja ljudske kose ili brkova u više 3D programskih alata i njihova primjena za konačni proizvod. Tematika se razmatra s dva odvojena stajališta: proces modeliranja i dobivanja modela, te priprema za lasersko graviranje unutar kristala. Rezultati modeliranja ukazuju na razliku u brzini izrade, kvaliteti samog modela koji ovisi o vrsti programskog alata, ali i o samoj strukturi modela. Svi rezultati pokazuju gotovo identični problem: poteškoće s ispreplitanjem kose, višestruko ponavljanje istih dijelova modela, rješavanje gustoće kose okrupnjavanjem većeg broja pojedinačnih vlakana i dodirivanje vlakana tik jedno uz drugo. Za druge potrebe ti se „problemi“ ne bi niti uočili, kao kod animacija ili u filmskoj industriji gdje je važno samo vanjsko oplošje modela, ali za potrebe laserskog graviranja to je nepremostiva poteškoća. Dolazi do približavanja točkica graviranja ispod dozvoljene udaljenosti i pucanja odnosno nekontroliranog uništavanja strukture kristala. Zbog toga su potrebni dodatni zahtjevi koji definiraju nekoliko detalja – izbjegavati križanje vlakana, koristiti vlakna različitih duljina čime se dobiva popunjenost, odnosno gustoća i ne približiti susjedna vlakna manje od njihove debljine. Nakon uvažavanja ovih dodatnih zahtjeva, dobiveni su prihvatljivi modeli. Konačni rezultat pokazuje da je najbrže, najlakše i najkvalitetnije dobiti zahtijevani model koristeći Zbrush programski alat za 3D modeliranje.

REALISTIC 3D MODELING OF HUMAN HAIR

Abstract

A three-dimensional model is the basic constituent units of 3D computer graphics and mathematical representation of three-dimensional object in 3D programming environment. The classical way of modeling consists of injection, separation, expansion and merging of polygons. With the appearance of 3D modeling called “digital statuary” is enabled the artistic way of modeling, or making digital objects on a more intuitive way. It is in fact working with digital clay. This paper discusses ways of modeling human hair or mustache in more 3D programming tools and their application for the final product. The topic is considered by two separate positions: the modeling process and getting the model, and preparation for laser engraving inside the crystal. Modeling results indicate a difference in the speed of production, the quality of the model, which depends on the type of programming tools, but also on the structure of the model. All results show almost identical problem: difficulties with interweaving hair, multiple repetition of the same parts of the model, solving the density of hair by coarsening large number of individual fibers and touching fiber each other. For other needs those “problems” would not be noticed, like animation or film industry where is only important external surface of the model, but for the purpose of laser engraving it is an insurmountable difficulty. There is a convergence of dots engraving below the allowable distance and cracking or uncontrolled destruction of the structure of crystals. Therefore there are needs for additional requirements that define a few details - avoid crossing fibers, use fibers of different lengths to obtain availability and density and and do not approach the adjacent fibers less than their thickness. Acceptable models are obtained after consideration the additional requirements. The final result shows that the fastest, easiest and best way to get the required model is using ZBrush software for 3D modeling.
