Sažetak

Vizualizacija podataka sveprisutan je postupak kod bilo kakvog manipuliranja velikim podatcima. Koriste se raznoliki alati i tehnike vizualizacije tekstualnih i brojčanih podataka, i stalno se razvijaju novi. Njihova korisnost je neupitna. Specifični problemi nastupaju kod velikih podataka čiji sadržaj nije brojevan ili tekstualan, odnosno, koji pripadaju u domenu tzv. multimedije (slike, zvuka, video-zapisa). Metode kako sagledati cjelovitu sliku multimedijske baze s velikim brojem uzoraka nova su problematika. Osnovni problemi su da se dosadašnja manipulacija i istraživanje takvih baza podataka vrši preko njihovih meta-podataka, koji ne predstavljaju neposredni uvid u sadržaj. To ne predstavlja problem ako se baze pretražuju prema postojećim algoritmima ili uzorcima te ako se oslanjamo na postojeće metode vizualizacije takvih podataka. Za pronalaženje novih uzoraka i veza, međutim, potrebno je pronaći neposredne načine pregledavanja.

Visualization of multimedia big data

Abstract

Data visualization is ubiquitous in any big data manipulation. Various tools and techniques are used, and new are being developed constantly. Their usefulness is indisputable. Specific problems occur with big data that is neither numeric nor textual – belonging to the domain of so-called multimedia (image, sound, video). Only recently the methods for perceiving the complete picture of a multimedia database have started to develop. Basic problem with current manipulation and research of multimedia databases is that it is being made through their metadata, which doesn’t allow direct insight into content. That doesn’t pose a problem if the database is being researched by existing algorithms or patterns and if we use existing data visualization methods. To find new patterns and connections, though, it is necessary to develop direct visualization methods.

Patrik Ervells latest collection is ironically titled “Software”ADIDAS ORIGINALS TUBULAR SHADOW. In the notes from the presentation, Ervell says he was interested in developing tension between nostalgia and sci-fi,NIKE ZOOM WINFLO 3 and even included 90s cyberpunk amongst his influences.
