... HRVATSKA GRAFIČKO-PRERAĐIVAČKA INDUSTRIJA I GOSPODARSKA KRIZA ...

... CROATIAN GRAPHICS AND PROCESSING INDUSTRY AND ECONOMIC CRISIS ...

(Croatian Chamber of Economy)

We can be proud on the trends that captures our graphics and processing industry. In fact, since 1987. the industrial production in Croatia is declining, while the publishing and printing was one of the few activities in Croatia, which is not only achieved the results in 1990., but they even surpassed 256 percent! Today we have nearly two and a half times greater production than was in the 1990th! Packaging are at 144 percent, while manufacturing is about 81 percent compared to 1990. These data should be respected as a powerful describing all the processes that occur. Many considered that statistics are incomplete, but the fact is that they follow and reflect the trends... It is very difficult and thankless task to predict movements in the framework of the current global (and domestic) crisis such as a thunderstorm(s) passing through Europe and the world. It is also naive to hope that this crisis will resolve itself, even in our graphics and processing industry. As already stated, it probably will in the production of industrial packaging crises leave a mark on our companies that are export oriented, but also those that produce mainly for domestic market. In any case, "the healthiest way" would be to launch a domestic manufacturing industry, because it can absorb the maximum domestic production capacity. Past's years trends indicate to this conclusion… The Croatian publishing and printing industries are likely to have a big impact and the fact that we have a huge installed generating capacity, which means that the only chance for our industry is a significant turn to export their products and services. It is known that we are "only in this millennium" invested in machinery for printing almost $ 1 billion ($ 930 million). And these facilities should also be able to hire ... However, the Chinese ideogram for crisis remarkably "has two signs" of which one means danger, and the second one chance - this means that the crisis in each case, forcing people to "give their best" to overcome the crisis. It seems to me that it would decide also in our case, and that their fight for the position of the (surviving) market be strongly intensified. There will certainly be an advantage to those firms have already invested in modern technology and new knowledge, or that its position in the market, won the high quality and low prices, reasonable investment (even in private consumption), and which have already been "interacting on the overseas markets," and gained a position on them. Perhaps some company will also "feel the need for consolidation", because in our industry there are mostly small and medium-sized companies. Outside, in mature markets, it is often done by merging several complementary companies into one larger in order to eliminate bottlenecks in the technological equipment, reducing the need for investment, raising the level of capacity utilization, rationalization of "calculative product structure" and a better positioning in the market. These moves and the results are evaluated in light of increasing capacity utilization and finally at the lower product prices. Unfortunately, it probably will be that some owners will try to attempt to solve their problems through reducing the number of employees, but it can't be good decision as medium and long term solution, because in fact it is some kind of "acknowledgment of the owners and managers" that they are not able to maintain or increase sales and production. In any case, it seems to me that we will clearly perceive this year a certain balance of the previous development and that we will have to pay a certain price for the "behavior". In doing so, we hope that the price will not be too high...

Patrik Ervells latest collection is ironically titled “Software”ADIDAS ORIGINALS TUBULAR SHADOW. In the notes from the presentation, Ervell says he was interested in developing tension between nostalgia and sci-fi,NIKE ZOOM WINFLO 3 and even included 90s cyberpunk amongst his influences. Ervell developed this point of view by creating an imaginary software company called Idegen software systems. He then re-appropriated the company’AIR JORDAN XXXI MENs logo in several of the collection’s garments. Elsewhere,MBT TARIKI MEN mohair coats with oversized lapels made an appearance alongside mock neck tees,NIKE AIR JORDAN RETRO 5 police-inspired ribbed sweaters,MBT FORA GTX WOMEN flight bombers, and polyurethane leather coats. The setting was also suitably dystopian, and the resulting ambiance was something akin to if the creators of Deutschland 83 and Hackers met up and decided to create a collection… We mean that as a compliment.Yesterday afternoon,JORDAN CP3 IX MEN artist JR spent the day working on his latest collaborative piece with Daniel Arsham in Greenpoint,NIKE AIR MAX 90 Brooklyn,MBT KIMONDO GTX MEN NYC. Connecting the lines between art, architecture, dance and theater, Daniel Arsham has been known to subvert existing architectural structures in unconventional,NIKE CLASSIC CORTEZ NYLON playful ways; confusing and confounding the expectations of space and form.
