Suvremenu proizvodnju medicinskih pomagala te medicinsku dijagnostiku u današnje vrijeme nije moguće zamisliti bez korištenja suvremenih alata kao što su računalni programi za 3D modeliranje (SolidWorks, Pro/Engineer), simulaciju (Abaqus, ANSYS), animaciju te uređaji za brzu izradu prototipova (3D printer). U radu prikazan pojednostavljeni model Charite međukralježničkog umjetnog diska, koji je modeliran u programskom paketu SolidWorks. Model je diskretiziran mrežom tetraedarskih konačnih elemenata drugog reda, a simulacije su provedene za četiri različita opterećenja u programskom paketu Abaqus. Pomoću 3D printanja, kojem je baza 3D modeliranje, takvi implantati i proteze će se izrađivati od matičnih stanica pacijenata, u vrlo kratkom vremenu sa znatno smanjenim troškovima što će pridonjeti revolucionarnom razvitku i napretku medicine. Ključne riječi: 3d printanje, grafika, medicina, model, fem analiza Abstract The power of advanced medicine is one of the great stories of modern science, built on a long succession of discoveries and technological breakthroughs. Medicine development lies in technology development. Modern manufacturing of medical supplies and medical diagnostics today can not be imagined without the use of modern tools such as computer programs for 3D modeling (SolidWorks, Pro/Engineer), simulation (Abaqus, Ansys), animation and devices for Rapid Prototyping (3D printer). Th is paper presents a simplifi ed model of intravertebral artifi cial disc Charite, which is modeled in SolidWorks software package. Th e model is discretized tetrahedral fi nite element mesh of the second order, and the simulations were performed for four diff erent loads in Abaqus. Using 3D printing, which is the base of 3D modeling, such a type of implants and prostheses will be produced in a very short time with a much lower costs, which will bring revolution and medical advances.
