Self presentation of higher education teachers on the Internet

(Samo)prezentacija nastavnika važna je iz tri osnovna razloga: iz nje je moguće iščitati informacije o pojedinoj osobi, analizirati društveni položaj visokoškolskih nastavnika u Hrvatskoj, i predvidjeti uspjeh komunikacije sa studentima odnosno uspješnost procesa digitalnog odgoja i obrazovanja. Rad daje teorijski pregled načina (samo) prezentacije visokoškolskih nastavnika i defi nira skup kriterija po kojima je moguće ocjenjivati uspješnost pojedinog pojavljivanja na internetu. Rad primjenjuje kriterije na maleni uzorak od deset visokoškolskih nastavnika, i temeljem detaljne analize njihovih stranica analizira i usavršava predložene kriterije. Na ovim temeljima, rad predstavlja zaokruženu pripremu za temeljito istraživanje (samo)prezentacije hrvatskih visokoškolskih nastavnika koje grupa autora namjerava provesti u neposrednoj budućnosti.

Teachers’ self presentation is important for three main reasons: to provide information about a particular person, to analyze the social status of teachers in higher education in Croatia, and to predict the success of communication with students and ensure success of digital education. Th e paper provides a theoretical overview of self presentation of higher education teachers and defi nes a set of criteria using which is possible to evaluate the performance of each occurrence on the Internet. Th e paper applies the criteria in a small sample of ten teachers in higher education, and based on a detailed analysis of their pages analyze and improve the proposed criteria. On this basis, the paper presents a rounded preparation for a thorough research of Croatian self presentations higher education teachers which group of authors intend to implement in the near future.
